The book is finished! Yes!! I’m soliciting for an agent right now and hope the book will be published soon. If I can’t land an agent right away, I will self publish and get it out.
The book is fantastic and better than I ever thought it could be. It’s all true, exciting and seemingly unimaginable at times. Our resilience as 18 year old’s was abounding at times. The unrelenting feeling that you were going to die was the harshest feeling to endure. Yet these survivors of Special Landing Force Alpha gave so much and the story needs to be told.
We were winning all the battles but loosing the war in Vietnam. To turn the tide, Special Landing Force Alpha was created. I was apart of a unit trained to assault the enemy at a moments notice using helicopter tactics. For 13 months we flew a record 27 missions in which I was wounded 3 times. Every platoon commander, sergeant, and squad leader was either wounded or killed. I am one of lthe few that survived to tell the story.
The truth is we were outnumbered with inferior gear and at times poor leadership. This book is a tell-all of what it was really like trying to stay alive each and everyday from the first month to the 13th month.
Thank you all for your continued support.

Thank you for all your effort in writing this book, Bill!
Thank you Mary. It took a long time to write but I feel it’s worth it. It did help my healing process and possibly the healing of other veteran’s who have fought for their countries. At the same time I feel it’s a missing piece of history that needs to be told.
Good Luck Bill! 🍀🤞
Thank you Gina. I’m so happy to move to the next adventure of getting an agent and marketing the book. Thanks for all your support. I’m lucky to have a group of wonderful people like you and your wonderful husband to support me. Bill
Glad to see you finally got it done. Know it was hard at times. Hope I was able to help.
Thanks Ken, You added something no one else could. You caught the small details no one else recognized. Great job. Also thanks for telling your story of the Battle for C-4 and getting wounded on January 19, 1968. A battle we all will never forget.
